Helps prevent fork trucks, pallet jacks, and pedestrians from falling off a loading dock.

Rite-Hite’s loading dock safety barrierswarehouse guard rails, and mezzanine safety gates will help you comply with OSHA fall protection regulations and prevent accidents throughout your facility. Vacant loading docks create a dangerous drop-off for employees and material handling equipment. When doors are left open to help improve air movement in facilities, it can create an even more precarious condition. Chains or cones are not effective visual or physical barriers.

Rite-Hite Safety Barriers are designed with maximum safety in mind, while still offering design flexibility and access when needed. Each safety barrier can also be integrated with other barrier products for all around protection.

In-Plant Separation and Protection helps separate and define work areas, walkways and interior loading docks. Traditionally, this has been accomplished with painted yellow lines on the floor. While painted lines are low cost and easy to change, they offer limited visibility and benefit.

Rite-Hite’s Mezzanine Barriers meet applicable OSHA, ANSI, and IBC standards. They allow companies to expand upward when space is limited.

  • Vacant loading dock doors are a danger zone inside any facility. Accidents at these 4′ (1200 mm) drop-offs can result in serious injury and are sometimes fatal.
  • Rite-Hite Barrier Systems offer several solutions to protect an open loading dock. These solutions provide full access for loading and unloading a trailer and still allow fresh air into the building when no trucks are present. There are manual and automatic options available and the ability to interlock the operation with a Rite-Hite Vehicle Restraint.
  • Installing loading dock safety barriers is a cost effective, yet important investment that can help prevent accidents, injuries and damage to products or equipment. Before selecting barriers to invest in, it is important to consider all of the application requirements. Once these site specific variables are determined and understood, a user can select the best loading dock safety barrier to meet their safety and protection needs.
